1st day of school....FOR BOTH!!!

Both kids are now in school. They were up early and ready to go. Jackson started 2nd and this is gonna be a great year. We have a super teacher & I have really good feelings about this year.
Nathan started Pre-K. He was very happy to start school like brother. Mommy wasn't so much. I know he needs to go, it will be good for him and all that. But I am selfish, I can admit it. It's been me & him for 4 years while Jackson was in school. He's my partner in crime. It was hard walking out of his classroom and leaving him at school but I did it. I did cry but not where he could see me. When I picked him up in the afternoon he said he loved it!! Great!!

Nathan's 4th Birthday

My sweet little Nathan is 4. He was very excited about this birthday. He was finally getting out of his baby carseat and into a big boy seat like brother. Me on the other had not so much. 4 means he starts school & this scares me. But I know he will be fine. I just keep telling myself that. His birthday fell on a Saturday but I wasn't much of a planner so his party with his friends came later. On his day we spent the day with family & went swimming. Which if his choice he would swim all day & all night. Little water bug. We had a small Mickey cake & then present time. Aunt Mara always seems to come in with a winner of a gift. This year she got him a Georgia bulldog super hero cape and asseciories. Nathan calls it the Super Dawg cape & it was all I could do to get him to take it off at bedtime. He wore it 3 days straight!! Thanks Tamara, it is awesome!!
This year he wanted a bowling party, not sure why because he doesn't bowl but here ya go Nathan. Since school hasnt started he doesn't have many friends except Jackson's so it was mostly Jackson's friends but that is ok. The most important person was there and no it's not Nanny, lol. It was Savannah. Ms. Savannah is Jackon's friend Zach's sister and Nathan is over the moon for her. He sat at the table beside her and talked her ear off. He just loves her and what is so great is that she listens to him & spends time with him. She is such an awesome young adult.
This past 4 years has gone so fast. I can remember finding out that I was having a boy & I cried. I badly wanted a girl and thought how sad I was that I was having another boy. But from the moment he came into our lives I never thought about him being a girl. Nathan is perfect. He is passionate, loving, handsome, sweet young man. He is a Momma's boy all the way thru. He knows the way to my heart & can't make me crumble to my knees in a second. He is so different from Jackson but has a heart of gold & I am the luckiest Mommy in the world to have him. I can only imagine what's up next for this crazy little man. I got my hands full. Say a little prayer......

Tiger Party

The Tigers end of season party was held at the Rome Braves. I have been planning this party since December in the hopes of it being awesome. Well... it was better. Sadly Chipper Jones was on the DL list for Atlanta and was forced to rehab his knee playing with the Rome Braves AND he played while we had our team party AND the Tigers were the team of the night which meant our boys got to go on the field while they sand the national anthem. I was lucky enough to go too so I could take tons of pictures...which I did. We were standing behind Chipper as he warmed up & when he was finished he came & high fived our players & coaches. I am not sure who was more excited the boys or coaches. It was really cool!! Pictures from this day to come.... But besides Chipper being there we had great seats, great food & it seemed as if everyone had a great time. The Braves won & I think every one of our players had the best time. Now it's time to start planning next years......

Nathan's Ball Party

Nathan's 1st season at ball has come to a close. It was a rough start but he stayed with it & finished the season and ended up really loving baseball. His team party was at Dairy Queen & that was perfect for him. Ice cream & a trophy with all his friends?? It doesn't get better than that.

Last day of 1st grade

I know it's been awhile. But time to catch up... Last day of 1st grade was great. We have been counting down the days for quite some time. Rough year but it's over. Jackson worked so hard all year to get perfect attendance & thankfully he got it!!! I still think they should give the Mom's an award for it since we are the ones to get them there on time everyday & trust me that was a chore. On the last day of school they put all the kids who had perfect attendance on the morning news. There was only 12 kids & Jackson was the only 1st grader!! In his words...How cool was that??? They don't do awards day for 1st grade (I am not happy about this, every grade should get one. Kids work hard all year & need that) BUT we had our own awards day the next night & Jackson chose Beef O'Brady's. He was pretty excited.

Game Ball

Nathan's ball season has been very different from Jackson's. Nathan is very emotional & at most games over playing. He gets ready & we head to the park & he is very excited but that quickly turns sour. At one game he wouldn't play because we brought his yellow bat (which he has used ALL season, every time!!) & he wanted his red bat (which is too small & he only used it for pictures because it matched his uniform) so we had a major meltdown. He wouldn't play at all. All because of a bat. But the next weekend, he got out on the field & played the best game he has ever played AND get this, when it was his turn to bat he chose the yellow bat. I swear that kid will be the death of me. At the end of the game he even got his 1st game ball for hustling & playing hard. Way to go Nathan!!

Spring Break!!

Spring has sprung & it couldn't have come at a better time. Jackson needed this break as did Mommy. We stayed home this Spring Break but managed to squeeze in a little fun with our good friend Zach, his Mom & Sister, Savannah. Who if you ask Nathan, Savannah is his girlfriend. It's very cute.

The boys spent the first weekend in Alabama. This was Nathan's first overnight trip & I was a little nervous. For my parents not Nathan. Shockingly they all survived & he wants to go back & spend the night again. Awesome!!

On Monday we went with Zach & hiked Sweetwater Creek Park. They hadn't been there so Jackson took this opportunity to show Zach the woods. They climbed on anything they could find & then played in the cold creek. Poor Savannah got dragged by Nathan all thru the creek, in flip flops no less. She never complained & Nathan was a happy boy.

Wednesday~ Easter Bunny day. I took the boys to the mall to see the Easter Bunny & get our picture taken. Nathan was pretty excited & sang about the bunny all the way there.

Thursday~Bowling Day. They love to bowl & the bowling alley has such a great deal on Thursday it is very hard to pass up. We bowled 1 game but that game took an hour & after that we went for pizza.

Friday~Was Six Flags day. Sadly I don't have any pictures of the day except for the one I bought at the park. Jason prefers me not to take the camera because I am a little clumsy.

I was a great Spring Break. Now 7 more weeks of 1st grade.....The countdown has begun.
